My Sister Theresa (Lowrey) :
My sister Tee was about five years older than me. I only remember a few
things about her because a few months after my father died she moved
to Oklahoma to live with my sister Rita.I always loved my sister Theresa. She was a soft-spoken girl that always seemed
to be happy. It has been told to me that Tee and Mom had a few disagreements so after my
Dad died, she moved to Okla. where she lived with Rita and Bob.A couple years later she married Dennis Lowrey, a Cherokee Indian from the
reservation. They had six or seven children. I don't know what their relationship was like.Tee always wrote poems. She did have a few published in various magazines through the years.
Every poem I read was beautifully written, and many had a religious theme.Tee was very religious and always believed angels visited her, and she had
regular visits from God. Maybe she did, who knows? Yet, I always enjoyed being with her
and sharing in conversation with her. I considered her a beautiful sister, a fun girl to talk to
and I believe she tried to help anyone that was in need.Tee had cancer for over ten years. It would remain in remission from to time, but finally
it reappeared and took her life. She was a great mother, wife and a very nice sister.Other than that I can't think of any other information concerning Theresa.
